I had the privilege of photographing Jenni and Derek's wedding down in Madison a little over a week ago. The ceremony was out in Waunakee at the First Presbyterian Church and the reception was at the Madison Club in downtown Madison.

Jenni's and my family go way back, so it was a great blessing to be able to be a part of their day!

Lucy Katherine Hoffner

My brother David and his wife Sarah, gave birth to their third child, Lucy Katherine on January 7. Lucy joins her older brothers Owen and Josiah. Michelle and I were again blessed to meet our newest niece only a few hours after her birth!

Ashley Louise Hook

Last week saw the births of two new nieces for me and my wife Michelle! My sister Andrea, and her husband Jared, gave birth to their third daughter on January 3. Michelle and I were in Madison that weekend to photograph a wedding, so we were able to meet Ashley only a couple hours after she arrived!

Happy New Years Everyone! 2008 was a huge year, full of amazing blessings, but I must say that I'm very excited for 2009! A couple of quick updates:

I like long walks on the street...

Here are some shots from a walk I went on the other day.  My wife had asked if I could find and photograph a yellow and/or teal door.  Amazingly, I found one of each to help decorate our new apartment!

Rohde Family Photos.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of taking some family photos for the Rohde's!  I took their daughter's senior pictures earlier this fall and now had the opportunity to work with the whole family.  They are a wonderful family and I hope to get to work with them again soon!

Kayla and Nic Engagement Shoot.

Earlier this afternoon, I did an engagement shoot with the wonderful Kayla and Nic at the Guthrie.  They were extremely entertaining and incredibly fun to hang out with.  We got some great shots taking turns running indoors and out so we didn't freeze.  -10 degrees just seems immoral.    

I'm really excited to continue working with Kayla and Nic and cant wait to shoot their wedding this May!
